Set Up Redeem Points – Reward Types & Configuration #
Overview #
The Redeem Points feature allows customers to convert their earned loyalty points into real rewards—such as discounts, gift cards, and free shipping. This helps increase engagement and customer retention.
Merchants can define conversion rates, redemption limits, expiration settings, and more.
Steps to Configure Redeemable Rewards #
1. Navigate to Redeem Points #
- Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Easy Loyalty Rewards → Redeem Points
2. Set Up Order Discount (Amount Off Order) #
- Reward Type: Choose between Fixed Amount or Percentage
- Points Conversion Rate: Define how many points equal a specific discount
- Example: 100 Points = $5 → 1,000 Points = $50 Discount
3. Min & Max Point Limits (Fixed Amount only) #
- Set the minimum points required for redemption
- Set the maximum points a customer can apply per order
4. Set Expiration Interval (Optional) #
- Toggle “Enable expiration” ON
- Choose the interval and unit (e.g., 1 Week)
💡 Discount must be used within the expiration window once redeemed.
5. Set Reward Status #
Set to Active to make the reward available to customers.
6. Reward Details #
- Works on both one-time purchases and subscriptions
- No minimum order requirement (unless configured)
- Valid across the online store
💡 Pro Tip: Use a low redemption threshold to encourage point usage, and set expiration to create urgency.
